How hypnosis works
Many people wonder what hypnosis is and how it works. The most important thing to know is that hypnosis, like many whole-brain techniques, uses the infinite knowledge and wisdom of our subconscious mind.
During hypnosis, you will be in a deep, relaxed and trance-like state. In this relaxed state, your subconscious mind (the habit control center of our mind) is open to suggestions and goal-oriented statements, and is extremely receptive to ‘permanent change’ and ‘growth’.
The subconscious is where we hold 95% of all we have experienced in life, from our conception to the present time. The transformation you are looking for can happen rapidly and effortlessly.
Will I lose control?
No. It is important to note that although you are open to suggestions to change, you do not lose control over your behavior. You are in control at the same time.
A customized approach
I utilize hypnosis along with other modalities like EMDR, among other techniques, for some clients — customizing to what the client needs for that session. The beautiful thing with hypnosis that I have witnessed is that when used with other healing disciplines, people see ‘true change and benefits’ in just 2–5 sessions.
So whether you are breaking an old behavior, want to succeed in your life, or get to your next level of personal transformation, this might be the right fit for you.
